Review: The Way of the Wilderking
The Way of the Wilderking by Jonathan Rogers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the exciting conclusion to The Wilderking Trilogy. The tension and action reach their peak in this book. It also has a few surprises in store. We did this as a family read-aloud and had a lot of fun with this series.
Review: The Secret of the Swamp King
The Secret of the Swamp King by Jonathan Rogers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is book two of The Wilderking Trilogy. There are still parallels to the biblical story of David, but again, the story has a life of its own. The book also has a lot of action and more of those Feechies we met in the first book. This was a fun family read-aloud.
Review: Bark of the Bog Owl
Bark of the Bog Owl by Jonathan Rogers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a fun family read-aloud. This is the first book of The Wilderking Trilogy by Jonathan Rogers. In the early part of the book, the biblical allusion to the story of David is pretty obvious. It doesn’t take away from the story for it soon takes on a life of its own. We are introduced to the Feechiefolks and learn more of their story as the book unfolds. It includes a lot of action and twists and turns. I recommend it.
Review: North! Or Be Eaten
North! Or Be Eaten by Andrew Peterson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the second installment of the Wingfeather Saga. Though I would hardly have thought it possible, this book steps up the action and intensity from the first book. Peterson has braided his tale with some interesting twists. We had a lot of fun with this book and look forward to the trilogy’s conclusion. I will add that this book has a little more violence than the first and is a little darker at spots.
Review: Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life

Excellent book. I have read it a few times and always benefit from it. As the name suggests, it is very practical and accessible. I recommend it.
